CERTAIN consortium reviews progress during second General Assembly
On 9 June, the CERTAIN consortium gathered online for its second General Assembly, bringing together project partners to review progress and discuss priorities for the next phase of the project.
The meeting provided an opportunity to assess activities and results achieved during the first year of the project, with partners presenting updates from across the different work packages. Discussions focused on ongoing developments, key achievements, upcoming tasks and opportunities for collaboration as the project moves forward.
As automated driving technology continues to advance rapidly, the need for robust and harmonised approaches to safety assurance is becoming increasingly important. While automated driving systems are already being deployed in various markets worldwide, large-scale deployment across the European Union requires a regulatory framework that supports both safety and innovation.
CERTAIN contributes to this objective by supporting the development of an integrated, robust and harmonised Safety Assurance Framework for Automated Driving Systems (ADS). By addressing key challenges related to safety assurance and regulatory acceptance, the project aims to help remove barriers to the wider deployment of automated driving technologies across Europe.
On 11 June, partners participated in the WP6 Use Cases workshop, where the project’s 12 use cases were presented and discussed. These use cases provide practical scenarios that support the development, assessment and validation of CERTAIN’s Safety Assurance Framework, helping to ensure that project outcomes address real-world deployment challenges.
Together, the General Assembly and WP6 workshop enabled partners to review progress, exchange knowledge and align activities for the next phase of the project. The consortium remains committed to supporting the future of safe automated mobility in Europe.
