Meet SAVVY: the SYNERGIES and CERTAIN Community Platform
Connecting the CCAM community to advance safety assurance
Safe and trustworthy Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) depends on more than technological progress. It also requires shared knowledge, practical experience and cooperation between research, industry, policymakers, regulators and standardisation bodies.
Enabled by SYNERGIES and CERTAIN projects, SAVVY is the Community Platform for Simulation, Scenarios, Safety Assurance, Validation and Verification. It connects CCAM stakeholders and gives them a place to exchange knowledge, share practical experience, identify and discuss gaps and help shape future approaches to CCAM safety assurance.
Who is SAVVY for?
SAVVY is intended for organisations and professionals working on or affected by CCAM safety validation, including:
- vehicle manufacturers and technology providers;
- researchers and research projects;
- testing, simulation, validation and safety-assurance specialists;
- public authorities and policymakers;
- regulatory and standardisation organisations;
- infrastructure and mobility providers;
- user and consumer organisations.
Why should I join?
SAVVY enables you to:
- follow developments relevant to CCAM safety assurance;
- help identify and discuss gaps and needs relating to standards and regulations;
- exchange knowledge and practical experience;
- connect with experts and organisations across the European CCAM community;
- contribute feedback based on your own use cases and professional experience;
- discover opportunities for cooperation and the future use of project results.
Your feedback will directly inform the development of the platform and its extension focusing on standards and regulations. This means that SAVVY members will not simply receive information: they will be able to contribute to how the platform develops.
What makes SAVVY different?
SAVVY brings together technical, human-centred and regulatory perspectives on CCAM safety assurance within one European community.
The platform builds on four connected areas:
- scenario-based validation;
- data sharing;
- safety assurance methodology;
- standards and regulations.
SAVVY will connect these areas with use-case-specific experience from CERTAIN. Its content and functions will be developed iteratively, using feedback from the CCAM community to ensure that the platform addresses real needs.
Topics are expected to include:
- trustworthy AI-based functions;
- standards and regulations;
- in-service monitoring and reporting;
- human–machine interaction;
- V2X connectivity;
- real-world deployment.
Who is developing SAVVY?
SAVVY builds on the experts from the SUNRISE Cooperation Platform, who contributed their knowledge and feedback throughout the development of the SUNRISE Safety Assurance Framework. It also brings together experts from the European Platform developed by SYNERGIES, which provides a federated Scenario Dataspace and Marketplace to support the development, testing and validation of CCAM systems.
SAVVY is now growing this community, welcoming additional experts and stakeholders to continue the discussions, exchange knowledge and build on the work already undertaken.Within CERTAIN, the platform extension and community engagement activities form part of Task 8.4. This work is led by ERTICO – ITS Europe, with contributions from MAPtm, SWOV, Toyota Motor Europe, the University of Leeds and the University of Warwick.
When will SAVVY be available?
SAVVY will officially launch in October 2026.
Further information about the launch and the first opportunities to contribute will be announced through this website and CERTAIN communication channels.
Join the community!
After completing the form, you will receive an invitation to join the SAVVY Community Platform. Registration is open to everyone.
