Results & Impact

CERTAIN accelerates the safe, trusted and inclusive deployment of automated mobility in Europe. By delivering and validating a resilient, human-centric Safety Assurance Framework, the project transforms research into standards, regulation and market adoption.

Findings will directly inform UNECE and EU policy, Euro NCAP protocols and international standardisation bodies such as ISO, SAE, ASAM and IEEE.

CERTAIN creates a bridge between research, regulation and real-world safety. Through user-centric technologies that continuously validate CCAM systems and their human–machine interfaces, it supports Europe’s shift toward safe, smart and sustainable mobility for people and goods.

Each key result (KR) targets specific stakeholders - regulators, industry, researchers and consumer assessment programmes - ensuring that progress translates into tangible improvements in safety and trust. With active participation in global regulatory and standardisation forums, the consortium ensures that CERTAIN’s outcomes shape future European and international standards, accelerating uptake and long-term impact.
